The FreeBMD Database was updated on Tuesday 4 August 2015 to contain 248,433,302 distinct records. The update adds 554,022 (572,268 last month) records. Major updates, more than 5,000 records are: for births 1943, 1963-64, 1966, 1971, 1973-75; for marriages 1952,1966, 1968-69, 1971-75; for deaths 1973-74, 1976.
