English Architecture and the First World War

An online video lecture , and versions in other media, from Gresham College looking at both the cultural effects of the War and its architectural impact. I particularly enjoyed the first part that explored some little known remains from the period before and during 1914-1918.
This is a part of the lecture series, English Architecture: Into the Modern World.
presented by Simon Thurley. The other lectures in this series are:
Building the Victoria City: Splendour and Squalor
Forwards and Backwards: Architecture in inter-war England
Coming to Terms with Modern Times: English architecture in the post-war era
